Progress

I am evolving, this much is true. 

One day last week, and then again this morning, I jogged a bit during my morning walk.   Just a bit ;-)  I've discovered that I'm going to have to invest in a lot of ibuprofen.  It's not the shin splints (yet - I'm sure that will come) but my KNEES are KILLING me!

I ate really well all last week.  The weekend, however, sucked balls.  I apparently have a problem with food on the weekend.  I'll have to figure something out.  Over the course of the week, I lost 6 pounds.  Over the weekend, I gained 5 back.  2 days.  sigh....  This is a new week.  It WILL be different.  The Halloween candy will be trashed after 2 weeks.  I will offer 1 piece a day per small daughter. 

I will evolve.

ENOUGH!!

I've had it.  That's it.  My 'life' is getting out of control! 

I'm nearing the big 4-OH MY GOD!  I'm at least 60 pounds over weight.  I'm OUT OF SHAPE and I'm over it!  I've taken the first step.  I quit smoking.  After 20-something years, I'm smoke free.  I refuse to be the old lady that smells like she just stepped out of a bar.  Now, I just need to get my head out of my ass and my feet on the pavement!

Why "Evolution"?  I don't want to change who I am, I just want to change what I am.  That's evolution.

Things to do before I turn 4-OH MY GOD!
1.  Lose 25 lbs.  Yeah, I need to lose more, but that's going to be kind of hard to do in a 5 month period.  I'm going the healty route this time.  Countless yo-yo diets have obviously done me no good.  I can only hold myself accountable.

2.  Walk at least 3 days out of every week.  That goes hand in hand with the losing weight.  Writing it down will motivate me.

3.  Become a runner.  http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml  I don't want to KILL myself to get into shape, but I would LOVE to be one of "them".

4.  Limit TV time to 1 hour per night.  I love tv.  I'll definitely do my best.

5.  Spend more time with the kids and the hubs.  Necessary.  I think that by achieving #4, I will achieve #5.

6.  Blog.  I've never done it.  This is a new experience.  Just like a diary, right? ;-)

This is my temporary bucket list.  Make it so.
